Daniel J. Roberts is “Of Counsel” at GraberRoberts, LLC. Born and raised in Norwalk, Dan graduated from the University of Connecticut (magna cum laude) in 1996 and Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2000. While in law school, Dan served as a summer clerk in the Stamford JD family court, and also received an award for academic excellence in advanced family law and marital property. After law school, Dan commenced private practice as an associate and later became a partner at the family law firm Lax & Truax, LLC. Dan is also qualified as both an Attorney for minor children and Guardian ad Litem.
In 2013, Dan and his family relocated to Oviedo, Florida where he earned Florida Supreme Court Certification in Family Mediation as well as advanced mediation training in Elder Law and Shared Family Decision making (2013-2022). Dan also earned a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst license, all while continuing his family practice in Connecticut. Since 2019, Dan and his family reside in Quinton, Virginia, where Dan became multi-barred and is an active member of the Virginia State Bar, commencing his Virgina practice in 2020. Dan operates a solo law practice focusing on family law, estate planning and also regularly serves as a State-approved Guardian ad Litem.
Dan’s family law practice handles all aspects of family law issues, including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, mediation and trials, while taking a holistic approach to include both short and long-term goals for each client. Dan has been a Connecticut Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2009-204 and a Connecticut Super Lawyer from 2015-2023.
