Tara handles all aspects of complex family law matters, including matters involving significant assets, complex compensation structures, child custody and parenting issues, premarital agreements, support enforcement, modifications of judgments, and appeals to both the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Court.

Tara graduated magna cum laude from State University of New York at New Paltz with a BA in Sociology in 2003.  She received her Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law (now Elisabeth Haub School of Law) in 2011.  Tara has been admitted to practice in both Connecticut and New Jersey since 2011.  She has worked exclusively in the area of family law litigation and appeals since 2011, handling both complex financial matters and high conflict custody matters.

While a zealous advocate for her clients, Tara is compassionate, caring, and understanding.  Her primary focus is to assist her clients through this difficult time in their lives.

Tara is currently serving as a co-chair of the Fairfield County Bar Association’s “Women and the Law” executive committee, the coordinator of the Lawyers in the Classroom program in Connecticut, and the coordinator of the high school mock trial program for New Haven County through CT Civics First. She previously served on the executive committee of the Connecticut Bar Association/Young Lawyers Section as a co-chair of the Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Committee from 2013 – 2016.  In addition, since 2013, she has acted as a volunteer in the Stamford Superior Court to provide legal assistance to self-represented family law litigants through the Volunteer Attorney Program.

In 2014 and 2017, Tara was named a Top 10 Lawyer Under 40 in Connecticut by the National Association of Family Lawyers.  In 2014, she was named one of the 10 Best Under 40 by American Institute of Family Law Associates. Tara was selected as one of the Connecticut Law Tribune’s New Leaders in the Law in both 2016 and 2017 and has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2015 through 2017.
